I guess as of today, I am officially retiring from DevArt. As I have posted numerous times in my past journals, I love the martial arts. Heh, I pretty much beat this fact in through my journals. Over the past few weeks, I have been realizing that I still have a great deal of growth to go through emotionally and when it comes to my martial arts. I lack the motivation to break through the barriers that are preventing me from truly expessing myself through my art. I am unable to mature my philosophies, my thoughts, my 'way.' There are so many distractions around me and with my college starting up classes soon, it's going to be harder than ever for me to concentrate on what I need to do. If I ever want to become a worthy martial artist and person, then I have to reevaluate and rearrange my priorities.
To everyone who has watched me, commented on my art, encouraged me..I thank you. Thank you for being such great people and I know that you will all become great artists and people. I wish you all the best.
I am an artist...but my art is the expression of the human body. My former Sifu put it best..
An Artist?
Hand becomes brush, sweat becomes ink.
The mat is my canvas
I withdraw , and the mat is empty.
Painted but unseen, my art is artless.

My heart grows cold.
Darkened by my negative doubts
I seek comfort in the lonely abyss
hoping one day you'll pull me out.,,
